The Owner- Kara Willis

My passion for culinary arts began when I was 12 years old. I started taking custom cake and cupcake orders to practice my new found love for food. This drove me to change schools and apply for a culinary arts program. After being accepted into the program, I began to hone my skills and learn how to operate efficiently and effectively with the proper safety measures. After competing in Texas culinary competitions, I accepted a scholarship at Johnson and Wales University in Denver, CO. I completed my Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University. Within weeks of graduating, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Being a true Texan, I missed deep fried foods more than anything. It really became a challenge when I could only get a fruit cup or corn from the Texas State Fair. In that moment, I decided I wanted to create recipes and operate a fully gluten free fried food company. Fried and Free is truly born from a lack of gluten free fried food and a passion to bring others joy. Gluten free does not have to mean flavor free! I hope that Fried and Free can help you with your next event!

Who We Are

We are fried gluten free food. We can do our best to accommodate most food allergies such as dairy, soy, or sugar upon request for scheduled events. We have pop-up events at farmers markets and festivals in the DFW area with a goal of expanding into other cities. Our menu consisted of sweet treats and savory snacks.
